IPTV France TV on a Firestick

Amazon does not carry IPTV players in its store, so the stick has to be told once that it may install an app from somewhere else. It takes a minute and it stays done.

Install the Downloader app

  1. 1.From the Fire TV home screen, open the search magnifier.
  2. 2.Type Downloader and pick it out of the results.
  3. 3.Choose the orange icon and install it.

Allow installs from unknown sources

Where this setting lives depends on how old the stick is.

  1. 1.Newer stick: Settings, My Fire TV, About, then press the Fire TV Stick line seven times. Go back one screen, open Developer Options, and allow Downloader to install unknown apps.
  2. 2.Older stick: Settings, My Fire TV, Developer Options, then turn on Apps from Unknown Sources.
Worth knowing. Amazon hid the developer menu in an update. The seven presses on the About screen are what bring it back.

Add a player and enter your login

In Downloader, type the address support sent you and install the file it downloads. Any of these three work:

Open the player, choose the Xtream Codes option, and fill in the username, password and server address. The channels and the guide populate on their own.

Rather not touch that setting? An Android box or a Chromecast takes the same players straight from the Play Store, and a Samsung or LG TV needs no stick at all. Worth reading the channel list before you start.
