IPTV France TV on a MAG box

On a MAG there is no app to install: the player is the box. One portal address, activation by MAC, and it boots straight into the channels.

Send the MAC address

  1. 1.The label underneath the box shows a MAC address starting 00:1A:79.
  2. 2.Send it to support on WhatsApp and say it is a MAG.
  3. 3.The address is activated and the portal address comes back in the reply.

Enter the portal

  1. 1.On the box: Settings, System Settings, Servers, Portals.
  2. 2.In the Portal 1 URL field, type the address you were sent and give it any name you like.
  3. 3.Confirm, leave the menu, and choose Restart Portal.
Worth knowing. Copy the address exactly, including the http:// and the port number. One character out and the portal stays black.

Set the clock to your own time zone

A wrong clock shifts the whole guide. Under System Settings, Time, pick your own zone (Eastern, Central, Mountain or Pacific) and set the time server to pool.ntp.org. Restart the portal once more afterwards.

French channels will still show their own prime time in your afternoon. That is the live feed, not the clock, and the TV guide page explains what to expect.
